I picked up this classic because my husband suggested it. He read it for a world literature class in college. This book was one of the classics assigned to him.

The rating is for Notes from Underground. I haven’t read The Double. It’s a fantastic novel that lives up to the praise. Ronald Wilks’ translation is excellent.
